Team behind the team finalThe Team Behind the Team Award presented by Town and Country Roofing honors a senior student from each Frisco ISD high school that has shown exemplary efforts to support their football team and show school spirt. The student can come from any area of the student body and a scholarship will be presented to the winners.

2020 Award Winners

The Frisco Bowl is pleased to announce the overall scholarship winner from the 2020 Team Behind the Team Award, presented by Town & Country Roofing which is:

Lexi Doggett – Frisco Wakeland High School

Lexi Doggett from Frisco Wakeland High School. Lexi will receive an additional $2,500 scholarship at her chosen college from the program which supports Frisco ISD high school students and awards them for helping to develop school spirit for their school and teams through their efforts.

Tim Brandenburg – Frisco Heritage High School

Tim has traveled with the Varsity Football team the past two years as sideline support. He attends every game, rain or shine, cheering on the team and serving as their Number One Fan. The coaches have enjoyed mentoring Tim on all things “Football” and “Life”, and Tim is enjoying his Senior season dressing out with the team on the sidelines. Tim is a true inspiration of what it means to be a “Heritage Coyote”, which makes him an obvious choice for the Team Behind the Team Award.

Rachel Loetzer – Frisco Memorial High School

Rachel is involved in many aspects of Memorial High including the Girls Soccer and Cross Country Teams, and enjoys supporting all the Warrior’s sports teams. She considers it an honor and a wonderful experience to be part of starting traditions at a brand new high school. Rachel leads by example always showing good sportsmanship whether in the stands or in her own sport on the field. Rachel loves to participate in all game day activities including dress-up themes, pep rallies, and of course standing front row in the stands cheering on the Warriors!

Brock Mills – Frisco High School

Brock is involved in many activities including Frisco High’s TV Sports and Broadcasts, Young Men’s Service League, Young Life, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He helped create and implement the “IS FRISCO BACK?” social media campaign, and has supported many teams with his photography at Frisco High’s with great photos of the players and fans. He encourages school spirit on and off campus, and was even named “Most School Spirited” in 2019-20. Brock is a true leader at our school which makes him an obvious choice for the Team Behind the Team Award.

Sloane Snyder – Frisco Reedy High School

Sloane is involved in many campus activities at Reedy High including the Girls Basketball Team, the National Honor Society, and within the “Pride” of Reedy High School, she’s active with the student sections to support all Lions! She embodies the qualities of being an “ACE”, with a great Attitude, Coachability, and Effort each and everyday. Sloane is definitely representative of the “Team Behind the Team” Award and how the Lions are only as strong as their “Pride”.

Madison Crater – Frisco Liberty High School

Madison is involved in many aspects of Liberty High including the the Band, and Independent Study & Mentorship with her chosen topic as: Nurse Anesthesia. As a member of the band and drum major for her second year, she enjoys leading the band and focusing on team morale while bringing the Redhawk spirit to each and every football game. Her unique perspective from the front of the band allows her to lead the crowd in motivating cheers and pep tunes. Her goal is to take on this position in college with the Texas Aggie Band where she can continue to show off her pride and spirit.

Delaney Dawson – Frisco Lone Star High School

Delaney is involved in many aspects of Lone Star High including the Girls Basketball and Track Teams and is the Class Secretary for 2021. She helps to keep students and fans involved at many of the school’s events as the mascot too. Always ready to offer a teammate an encouraging word, she has a positivity about her that is infectious, and many at Lone Star can attest to her trying to make the day better by offering up her great smile or a simple hello. Delaney is a true leader at Lone Star with high “Character”, which makes her an obvious choice for the Team Behind the Team Award.

Griffin Tarter – Frisco Lebanon Trail High School

Griffin is involved in many aspects of Lebanon Trail High including the Baseball Team and he helps to lead the Student Spirit Section at all our Blazer Football games. He creates the themes and chants to energize the fans for the Football, Basketball, and Volleyball teams too. Griffin is a true leader at our school with high “Character”, which makes him an obvious choice for the Team Behind the Team Award.

Paxson Fletcher – Frisco Centennial High School

Paxson is a multi-sport Student Athlete for the Titans, and in 2019 was selected as the only underclassman to be a captain on the football team, while also becoming an all-district wide receiver. An athletics honor roll member each year during high school with straight A’s, Paxson plans on majoring in Engineering in college. Paxson consistently represents CHS in a positive manner both on and off the field, and embodies the word “competitor” and he is a great example for the team, school, and community always competing with class and composure.

Lexi Doggett – Frisco Wakeland High School

Lexi is very involved at school serving on the Principal’s Student Advisory Council and she is a 4-year member of the Wakeland Cheer team, and this year has the honor of serving as Captain. She has a passion for leading the crowd and enhancing school spirit, and was voted the winner of the “Heart & Spirit” Award by her teammates. Lexi is a proud Wolverine and is honored to represent Wakeland at any opportunity.

Parker Purcell – Frisco Independence High School

Parker is a multi-sport Student Athlete for the Knights competing in Football and Track and Field, while also owning his own Landscape Business.  He is the “unofficial motivator” while cheering on our teams and always looking to get others involved in the fun.  No gathering is quiet when he is present, as he makes his presence known to his peers, teachers and administrators with his positive and engaging personality.  His motivation to learn and help others around him makes him an obvious choice for the Team Behind the Team Award.
