Team behind the team finalThe Team Behind the Team Award presented by Town and Country Roofing honors a senior student from each Frisco ISD high school that has shown exemplary efforts to support their football team and show school spirt. The student can come from any area of the student body and a scholarship will be presented to the winners.

2019 Award Winners

Caitlyn Schroeder – November 1, 2019

Liberty High School

Caitlyn is a cheerleader for Liberty and a leader in school spirit.  She shows her Redhawk pride by supporting her fellow peers whether on or off the field.  Through her involvement with Student Council, she helps to increase school spirit by assisting with on-campus events promoting Liberty’s culture. Caitlyn is a member of the National Honor Society and enjoys volunteering at a local food bank.

JD Stephens – October 25, 2019

Centennial High School

JD is a captain on the football team, voted on by his fellow teammates. They also recognized him as the hardest working Titan! He volunteers for many groups, including Frisco SAGE, by building a garden for special needs students. He also assists the Frisco Football League during their youth tryouts. He is a member of National Honor Society and also competes in Powerlifting.

Uzair Lodhi – October 25, 2019

Lone Star High School

Uzair is a proud Ranger who supports the football program with his videography. He’s on the sidelines at every game capturing every catch, tackle & touchdown. He assists the team by creating a positive social media footprint. He is an excellent recipient for this award because of the support he gives to the Rangers!

Will Zimmer – October 18, 2019

Frisco High School

Will is a proud member of the RACC PAC and is attendance at every game rain or shine. He’s extremely supportive of the Fighting Raccoons and is an athlete himself on the Boys’ Soccer Team, playing all 4 years and serving as Captain this year. He is also a member of National Honor Society. Hard-working, diligent, and enthusiastic makes Will a perfect recipient of this award.

Elise Willingham – October 11, 2019

Lebanon Trail High School

Elise is well known as the Trail Blazer’s beloved mascot, Torch.  She has been awarded All-American Mascot for the past 4 years and attends all games & pep rallies.  Elise is a student ambassador for new students and a member of the National Honor Society.  She also plays the harp in Orchestra.

Christian Pirtle – October 4, 2019

Memorial High School

Christian is proud to be a member of the first graduating class at Memorial and shows that pride through his school spirit! He attends every football game and leads the crowd in cheers & chants. Christian participates in track, lacrosse and football, and has taken a leadership role in Student Council and the Spirit Club.

Paul Koroma – September 27, 2019

Heritage High School

Presentation by Jeff Petty, Vice President of Sales for Town & Country Roofing – “Paul is the heartbeat of the school and is all things Heritage High!  He is the highlight of every pep rally by getting the student body up on their feet dancing, cheering and participating in the Coyote Clap.  Paul is a member of the Varsity football team and participates in Powerlifting.  He’s known for his daily greeting of “great as always” and lives life with true joy & passion.”

Mari Sanchez – August 29, 2019

Reedy High School

Mari is a spirit leader on campus by attending all the football games and dressing in spirit wear.  She is a 4-year student athlete by being a member of the Ladies Basketball team.  She founded the Spikeball Club and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society.  Mari is an active participant with the Junior Frisco Women’s League and proudly represents Reedy on the Superintendent’s Advisory Council.

Anna Anderson – September 6, 2019

Wakeland High School

Anna is a 4-year member of the Cheer Team and captain this year. Last year, she was voted the winner of the “Heart & Spirit” award from the entire cheer program.  She is a member of the National Honor Society and participates in Track.  She loves all things Wakeland and is a proud Wolverine!
