Bowl Season – A Celebration of College Football
College Football is all about celebrating the good in the game. Each season, the Frisco Bowl wants to amplify the positive impact of college football and how our bowl is making a difference through education, leadership and community.
Education
The Frisco Bowl awards the Team Behind the Team scholarships honoring a senior student from each Frisco ISD high school that has excelled in the classroom and has shown exemplary leadership efforts to support their
athletic teams and show school spirit. The student can come from any area of the student body. Special thanks
to Town and Country Roofing for presenting this program.
Leadership
Each year the Frisco Bowl hosts the annual Frisco Bowl Golf Classic at Stonebriar Country Club. All proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County and Frisco Fastpacs. The bowl has made a significant contribution to both the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County and Frisco Fastpacs to help contribute to the growth of the future leaders in North Texas. Aside from raising money at our golf tournament for each of these charities, leaders from each of our participating teams took time out of their bowl week to pack hundreds of meals at Frisco Fastpacs to feed children all across the Frisco Independent School District.
Community
Bringing the bowl game to Frisco has had an immediate impact on the local community. As shown before, The Frisco Bowl has been able to make a difference at the Boys and Girls Club and Frisco Fastpacs. In addition, every year during bowl week players, cheerleaders, and mascots from each of our participating schools take time to visit the local Children’s Medical Center Plano. The players meet with the children, bring them holiday gifts, play games with them and create memories that will last a lifetime.
