2018 FRISCO BOWL TO BE PLAYED ON DECEMBER 19 at 7 P.M. CT

FRISCO, TX. — The 2018 Frisco Bowl will air on ESPN on Wednesday, December 19 at 7 p.m. CT/ 8 p.m. ET live from Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Toyota Stadium is the home of FC Dallas of Major League Soccer and host to the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Championship Game since 2010. It has a football capacity of 17,200.

The second year of the bowl will showcase a team from the American Athletic Conference and an at-large team.

The inaugural Frisco Bowl featured the SMU Mustangs and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. A game Louisiana Tech won 51-10.

About FC Dallas and Toyota Stadium

A member of Major League Soccer since its inception in 1996, FC Dallas is owned and operated by Hunt Sports Group. The professional team plays its regular season from March to October at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. FC Dallas won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and MLS Supporters’ Shield in 2016.

Toyota Stadium is one of the first soccer-specific stadiums built in the United States. It hosts MLS and international soccer matches, high school and college football games, as well as concerts and other events. The 145-acre Toyota Soccer Center also includes 17 regulation-sized, tournament-grade soccer fields and is also home to the organization’s nationally-renowned youth development system.

The National Soccer Hall of Fame is currently under construction in Toyota Stadium’s south end. It will host the 2018 National Soccer Hall of Fame induction ceremony on October 20, 2018 followed by a performance by Imagine Dragons. The 2018 Hall of Fame game is October 21, 2018 and will feature FC Dallas hosting Sporting Kansas City.
