2019 FALL INTERNSHIPS

FC Dallas, the Frisco Bowl and Toyota Stadium have created a unique hands-on experience for students looking to gain experience in the Sports, Marketing, and Entertainment industry.

We are looking for bright, passionate, hard-working students to be a part of our team through our internship program.

Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center is a first-of-its-kind facility located in Frisco, Texas. The complex features two major components: a 20,000 seat, state-of-the-art pro stadium immediately adjacent to a sports park with 17 championship-quality sports/soccer fields. Toyota Soccer Center is in use over 300 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international events.  Toyota Stadium is the home of the Frisco Bowl, a bowl game between two FBS teams each year.

All internships for the Frisco Bowl, FC Dallas, and Toyota Stadium & Soccer Center are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment and marketing industry. All candidate hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required.


2019 Fall Internship – Business Operations

Position Overview:
The Frisco Bowl is looking for a Business Operations Intern to assist the team with finance and other business operation initiatives in regards to the bowl game. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day to day objectives of the bowl game.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Process check requests, invoices, and payments ensuring all appropriate approvals have been received
  • Update financial binders and reports communicate with co-workers, management, clients, franchisees and others in a courteous and professional manner
  • Scanning and filling of contracts
  • Inventory control of programs, souvenir helmets, sponsor tickets
  • Assist auditors with business operations audit
  • Assist with the management of budgets
  • Assist partnerships area with updating reports and inventory spreadsheets
  • Assist marketing with grassroots events operations and setup
  • Additional duties as necessary

2019 Summer Internship – Social Media

Position Overview:
The Frisco Bowl is looking for a Digital Media Intern to assist the team with digital marketing initiatives to fans and create awareness for the bowl game. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day to day objectives of the bowl game.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Conceptualize, capture and execute multimedia projects for online, social media, games, in-stadium presentation and more
  • Assist in the development of digital marketing strategies to increase overall awareness of Frisco Bowl and its events
  • Integrate engaging market trends, best practices, insights, and recommendations into fan interactions
  • Assist in coordinating Frisco Bowl’s social media exposure
  • Oversee web and social media content for the Frisco Bowl to include creative relevant content
  • Implement current Frisco Bowl digital initiatives including College Football 150 and other digital projects
  • Daily updates to all social media channels
  • Coordinate a social media staff for the 2019 Frisco Bowl
  • Implement student sideline reporter program
  • Assist in development and execution of all community promotions
  • Assist in promotions as related to the Frisco Bowl
  • Assist with creation of recap books of all media, collateral and licensing items
  • Additional tasks as needed

2019 Fall Internship – Partnership Fulfillment

Position Overview:
The Frisco Bowl is looking for a Partnership Fulfillment Intern to assist the team with the fulfillment of sponsorship contracts for the Frisco Bowl. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day to day objectives of the bowl game.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Ability to execute sponsorship task by working closely and attending with partnership staff various activities and business-related forums
  • Learn about departmental processes needed to ensure that sponsor deliverables are being accurately represented.
  • Acquire knowledge through the coordination and development of sponsorship activities and events including game program ads, in –game video spots, signage, décor, gifts, and donated products.
  • Participation in the coordination of the Frisco Bowl’s sponsorship promotions
  • Ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations for Bowl partners
  • Assist in coordination of all partnership elements into activation
  • Assist in Development of all signage creation around game
  • Implement ticketing and hospitality needs for partnership
  • Develop all videoboard and announcements for in game production
  • Implement advertising on Frisco Bowl Website
  • Implement and plan Frisco Bowl game program
  • Assist as key contact with Frisco Bowl sponsors for asset implementation
  • Assist in planning and implementation for the Fan Fest area in the Bowl game
  • Update contracts, sales and sponsor inventory grids
  • Update potential sponsors list with relevant information
  • Consistently upload all pictures and marketing content/collateral to Shared Drive

2019 Summer Internship – Marketing

Position Overview:
The Frisco Bowl is looking for a Marketing Intern to assist the team with marketing initiatives to promote the bowl game and increase brand awareness. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day to day objectives of the bowl game.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Detailed and hands-on operations within the Marketing Department
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies to increase overall brand awareness of Frisco Bowl and its events
  • Marketing and promotional efforts such as: advertising, marketing communications and promotions.
  • Assist with creation of media items including TV, Radio, Print and Digital
  • Assist in coordinating Frisco Bowl’s marketing research projects
  • Assist in creation and execution of in-game script, promotions and entertainment
  • Assist in development and execution of all community promotions
  • Assist in the coordination of Frisco Bowl promotions team
  • The scheduling and organization of logistics and implementation during promotions
  • Assist with researching, ordering and managing inventory of promotional giveaway items
  • Assist in promotions as related to the various Frisco Bowl marketing activities
  • Assist with creation of recap books of all media, collateral and licensing items
  • Assist in game day promotions and on field experience

2019 Fall Internship – Events

Position Overview:
The Frisco Bowl is looking for an Events Intern to assist with the planning and preparation of events for bowl game activities. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day to day objectives of the bowl game.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Intern will learn and be exposed to:

  • Exposure to the management of all events and logistical needs including, but not limited to, entertainment, catering, décor, signage, audio/visual, gifts, volunteers, guest services, and events spaces
  • Assist in the planning and execution of all events related to the Frisco Bowl
  • Provide support at the team host hotels, including room planning & logistics, meeting spaces, players’ lounges and hospitality lounges
  • Assist in the development & direction of events including, but not limited to, Team Arrival Dinner, Player Gift Suite, Kids Day Out, Ladies Day Out, Joint Team Dinner, Charity & Hospital Visits, VIP Reception, and PreGame Party
  • Provide assistance to the Events & Guest Services Coordinator
  • Assist in the planning and preparation for the Frisco Bowl Golf Classic (Spring 2020)

2019 Summer Internship – Communications

Position Overview:
The Frisco Bowl is looking for a Communications intern to assist the team with communication initiatives to promote the bowl game. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day to day objectives of the bowl game.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Support external communication to all media outlets and assigned bodies concerning Frisco Bowl programming and events; encompassing areas of media/public relations, television production, website operations, media operations and publication production.
  • Inter-department contact for events, per assignment.
  • Provide support for the coordination and dissemination of information for the Frisco Bowl game and other Frisco Bowl events.
  • Contribute to the media operations efforts for the Frisco Bowl.
  • Responsible for attendance at designated Frisco Bowl meetings, events and promotions.
  • Update program details as needed
  • Assist with FISD -and possibly other school districts- staff on events
  • Assist with Frisco Football League on events and programs
  • Writing and editing of content for publications
  • Assist in with implementation of community initiatives and programs such as
    • Educator of the year
    • Team Behind the Team
    • Sideline Reporter
  • Assist with media coordination efforts as it relates to TV, Radio, Print, etc.
  • Coordinate with Frisco Bowl Digital Media contact to support communications to digital media channels to include website, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • Assist with marketing communications efforts and implement media action plan
