2021 SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

FC Dallas, the Frisco Bowl and Toyota Stadium have created a unique hands-on experience for students looking to gain experience in the Sports, Marketing, and Entertainment industry.

We are looking for bright, passionate, hard-working students to be a part of our team through our internship program.

Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center is a first-of-its-kind facility located in Frisco, Texas. The complex features two major components: a 20,000 seat, state-of-the-art pro stadium immediately adjacent to a sports park with 17 championship-quality sports/soccer fields. Toyota Soccer Center is in use over 300 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international events.  Toyota Stadium is the home of the Frisco Bowl, a bowl game between two FBS teams each year.

All internships for the Frisco Bowl, FC Dallas, and Toyota Stadium & Soccer Center are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment and marketing industry. All candidate hours can be flexible to accommodate your school or work schedule. Some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required.


2021 Summer Internship – Social Media

Position Overview:
The Frisco Bowl is looking for a Social Media Intern to assist the team with marketing initiatives of the bowl game. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day to day objectives of the bowl game. The internship may take place between mid-May to Mid-August, and may be a partially remote position dependent upon guidelines in place at the time of the internship.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies to increase overall awareness of FRISCO BOWL and its events
  • Integrate engaging market trends, best practices, insights, and recommendations into fan interactions
  • Assist in coordinating FRISCO BOWL’s social media exposure (Twitter/Facebook/Instagram)
  • Assist in creation and execution of social media content
  • Create monthly social media calendars for the bowl
  • Create Bowl Season countdown calendar for the Fall of 2021
  • Assist in development and execution of all community program content
  • Assist in promotions as related to the FRISCO BOWL
  • Assist with creation of recap books of all media, collateral and licensing items
  • Additional tasks as needed (i.e. – coordination of social media content with bowl game website)

Prerequisites:

  • Pursuing a degree and/or career in business-related areas, creative design, or journalism
  • Must be able to receive class credit for internship
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator and typing skills
  • Knowledge of photoshop, various social media platforms, and photo editing software a plus.
  • Assist with research, presentation and implementation of marketing plan and budget for FRISCO BOWL events
  • Assistance on special projects
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor and senior management

2021 Summer Internship – Events

Position Overview:
The Frisco Bowl is looking for an Events Intern to assist with the planning and preparation of events for bowl game activities. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day to day objectives of the bowl game. The internship may take place between mid-May to Mid-August, and may be a partially remote position dependent upon guidelines in place at the time of the internship.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Assist in the planning and preparation for the Frisco Bowl Golf Classic (October 2021)
  • Provide support and recap of the Frisco Bowl Online Auction (May 2021)
  • Exposure to the management of all events and logistical needs including, but not limited to, entertainment, catering, décor, signage, audio/visual, gifts, volunteers, guest services, and events spaces
  • Assist in the planning and execution of all events related to the Frisco Bowl
  • Provide support for the team host hotels, including room planning & logistics, meeting spaces, players’ lounges and hospitality lounges
  • Assist in the development & direction of events including, but not limited to, Team Arrival Dinner, Player Gift Suite, Kids Day Out, Ladies Day Out, Joint Team Dinner, Charity & Hospital Visits, VIP Reception, and PreGame Party
  • Provide assistance to the Events & Guest Services Coordinator

Prerequisites:

  • Pursuing a degree and/or career in Sports Management or Event Planning
  • Must be able to receive class credit for internship
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
